you're all wearing me out! I've had a bit of a lie in today but up now with big plans! Walk the dog, get the garden into shape, make some soup, get the house back in order (been away most of the week, what a state!) got the dishwasher and washing machine on already - hope the weather stays fine so i can get a decent lot dry - hate it hanging all over the house.

Hope everyone has a great weekend - with at least one lovely surprise each!

    Morning All

Plan for today is to get through it. DH was out last night and typically dd was awake afew times, woke about 1 hour ago in a foul mood and we have had one major tantrum already over the fact her umbrella was in the car of all things. Have no idea when DH will arrive home as he is now at the mercy of when his childless friends get out of there pits.

I need to go to the market at some point for meat and veg but will wait to see if DD mood improves, a tantruming toddler right in the middle of Ormskirk market is the last thing I need. Off now to find a yummy slow cooker recipe for tomorrow as aparently I on duty for cooking while the family do some jobs at in-laws house.

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning Everyone :hello:

I can't believe that I am up this early on a saturday!!

Anyway lots to do today, already got washing in, then off to shops to buy a birthday present as DS might be going to a party on monday depending if his chicken pox has cleared up some more. (any ideas what I can get an 11 year old boy? - I'm clueless and DS hasn't been helpful either lol)

Then back to clean the whole house from top to bottom  , then hopefully if I get time I'll try and get into the garden to sort some bits n pieces out.

Hope you all have a good Saturday and Hugs to all that want/need them!!

    Hi fellow oldstylers
Just back from the weekly shop at Mr T which took a little less time as shall be getting veggies and eggs from the market in town this pm.
Plans for today are mainly of the domestic trivia variety. Shall clean out the furry monster's litter tray shortly and then make a start on the monthly menu plan for April. OH has just taken the small person swimming so should have an hour or so of quiet to have a good think about it.
Later on got a fellow freecycler dropping by to pick up a food digester I have lurking in my garage so that should free up more space for treasure or perhaps clutter!!!!
At some point hope to get some baking done...quite fancy rock buns or perhaps a malt loaf. It's toad in the hole for supper and then the Merlin DVD, which a friend has leant me this evening, with a bottle of vino....which translated into Aril terms probably means snoozing away on the settee during the duration of the film.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and do take some time out to relax all you busy peeps!

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's very rare that I get to post in the morning, so I'll make the most of it now. :D

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to Mrs MW! :bdaycake:

I had quite a productive day yesterday, sadly it wasn't too OS. After my work in the morning, I went into town and paid in some £2 coins and coppers. This has boosted my car total, which is looking quite pleasing at the moment! Still a little way to go, but I think that I'm going to make it! It doesn't help schools not being open for work over the Easter hols .

I've also managed to get a digital radio that DH and I had promised to get using some Argos vouchers that we got for our wedding last year. So, using them and Nectar points for the rest, I didn't have to dip into any cash. :D And it meant that we could listen to the Now Show whilst cooking supper!

We now think that our tv is on its way out, slowly. It was second hand to us when DH's gran moved into a nursing home 2.5 years ago, but it's not actually that old. We're just hoping that it holds on until we've put aside some money for a new tv............

Supper last night was turkey stir fry with plenty of veg! We have a stir fry once a week because it makes me feel good with all that veg AND it's so simple!

    Plans for today are:
walk into town to post my application form
have a coffee in the nice coffee shop :D
relax, read the paper AND my book
    erm and not much else.

DH has booked us a table at a local pub for a meal tonight as it's our 8 monthiversary :D. Any old excuse, eh?! :rotfl:

Tomorrow, also in celebration, we're going to watch my "boys" (Leicester Tigers) beat Stade Francais in the quarter final of the European cup. Well, if I'm not optimistic then they won't do it will they? :D Please all send positive vibes to Leicester tomorrow as I could do with a nice day out in London for the final. :rotfl:

    Bye for now
