    Hi Everyone

I don't know where my life is going just now!!! Work was manic yesterday as I had to do year end accounts before going on holiday. Shopping with DD this morning for DGS2 birthday on Monday, party for nephew and fiancee tomorrow.

Promise I will catch up with you all.

DLB - typed a huge PM last night and it disappeared. Will be in touch, I promise.

    Love

    GB xx

Wahey! I have been researching local producers and found there is loads in Cornwall, so I don't have to go to the scabby Plymouth market anymore. Think I will try Tredinnick farm shop, which is right near where I work. I have also been told of a place where I can get a tray of free range eggs for about £1.80 :D. Am very pleased.

Catowen/N9eav - have you been to Tredinnick? Is it any good? Anywhere else you can recommend (I live on the wrong side of the river really!)

Edit: We are having Spanish Omelette, with salad for dinner

Talking of Angel Delight (which I've never had btw - never really fancied it) does anyone know if it's the same sort of thing as those instant pudding mixes American recipes sometimes call for ? I sometimes make a quick chocolate pudding from the More With Less Cookbook for my kids which is just a cornflour, milk, sugar and cocoa mixture. is Angel Delight similar ?

Just had a lovely chocolate sauce from Nigel Slater's Real Fast Puddings. We had it on vanilla ice cream.

Well, everyone chez Thrift is in a ferment of excitement over the imminent return of Dr Who, me not least ;) So off I go to bag a good seat in the lounge.

It's actually the 8th month since we were married :D We didn't celebrate 7 months, so I think that a meal is in order!

I thought the years had slipped by a bit too fast. ;) Doh.:o Well the angel delight was quite nice. Had in with a dollop of greek yoghurt & fruit salad. Enough for tomorrow night as well. I thought it was very OS Kyle seeing as I milked the cow. :D

DH a lot better now so might go for a wander down to the car boot sale tomorrow. Could someone tell me what a reasonable price for a hair trim & foil's (regrowth only) is? I was quoted £69  I think that's horrendous.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Thriftlady I make a dessert very similar to that but call it Chocolate Blancmange. Angel delight is very similar but the flavour was a tad artificial IYKWIM. The other flavours may be different.

Enjoy Dr Who  very very sad :D

    Afternoon/evening all!

Well, I didn't go to the shops in my pjs those who asked! I drove to a village outside of town and did my banking there, then I popped into the butchers there too to get some bacon and eggs, although most of the eggs have been used up as we had scrambled egg on toast but I messed up the first lot of eggs! Whoops! DPup helped out there and had a little of them mixed in with his breakfast :)

Not sure what to have for tea tonight but we got through a bowl of popcorn this afternoon so we aren't *too* hungry (OH put strawberry sauce on his...ew!)... I had a party today and have another tomorrow, have the evening free so shall be doing some Ebay listings tomorrow and making my tuition cards after I've been to the computer shop and got some new ink!

Then Monday I need to go into the city to the DVLA as my stupid car tax hasn't turned up, the company hired a car for me tomorrow which was lucky, I also need to do some banking and put the cards in shop windows, do my phone book listings etc and then it's Guider training in the evening.

My overhaul starts officially on Tuesday, have got Turbolister for my Ebay and some paper all ready for my kitchen inventory-ready for some proper OSing as our budget is awful this month due to the Easter holidays :( No SC since mine has broken, it'll all be stuff in pots instead!

Have a good rest of weekend, lots of hugs available! x

Hi Thrift lady - was it your recipe for the curry that I copied ages ago. It was lovely and very adaptable so thank you.

Oven bulb lights `died` today and were a b****r to get out and replace. The manual said to try at `your local hardware shop`! Well that`s well nigh impossible as we dont have any! Tracked them down at Waitrose. One of the bulb cover cracked slightly when taking it out but is still useable - not very user-friendly.

Just been to Bromley twice- we`re 10 mins away and bought a washable suit in Primark for my son which was £28 for the jacket and £12 for the trousers. Sadly unlike M&S the lengths are difficult- they only do 32" or 34 which is a shame as 33` would be perfect. Still at that price I shouldnt complain! Also bought some tops there which are lovely. Bought me some much needed eyeliner from M&S.

Washing oput for the first time this year and is now well dried- roll on summer.

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Hi everyone

    Donna, Sorry ds3's team lost
Aussie, I haven't had angel delight since I was a child....there's a thread about somewhere on making your own.
Bargain Rzl, you must have been really tired!
Racy, The flights are booked! :j I'm really looking forward to it!

We've been busy with the hall all day but only just started to actually paint...it took forever to put the masking tape on and do the edges. Hopefully the first coat will be done tonight so we can finish it off tomorrow.

I'm about to have potato and leek soup for tea, just waiting to lift the cheese and onion bread out of the oven. I thought an easy tea (made earlier) would be best otherwise I knew we'd resort to a takeaway when we got hungry.

    Off to eat now.....

    Have a good evening.

    Janb5 I don't think I've posted a curry recipe, so can't help I'm afraid.

We all loved Dr Who - David Tennant has got to be the best Dr Who ever. I love programmes that the whole family can enjoy.

We accidently seem to have drunk a bottle of wine already - oops. I'll have to send OH out for a replacement tomorrow (there's another one for later this eveining. Spellings going a bit hywire - can't think why :o

Coot negotiations appear to be complete and 2nd coot family may well be on the way already, so there may be chicks Pink :D

Must remember to put a coat of paint on the rocking chair on the terrace and put a wine order in, if the weather is good, that's us set
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
Proud to be a chic shopper
