    Morning All
Thank you for the birthday wishes, I've got to the age where I try to ignore birthdays, in fact I'm convinced that there must be a mistake somewhere, I can't be THAT old. When I look in the mirror though I believe it, I'm beginning to look like my Mother!
I'm not doing anything today, DH is just rushing round with the vac. I may get him to hang washing out, but he never does it properly so I may be better doing it myself.
I will have a small celebration next week when DS and DSS will both be here.
    Have a good weekend.

Was a busy day yesterday, so didn't post

Had the women come over from Gibralter to view. Her proxy came at the beginning of March and her place has sold, so in a position to buy. She is talking about the extras to be left as well. The surveyor is coming on Tuesday, so she obviously likes it - still need to hear the £££s tho

The other couple keep saying they will make an offer but do nothing about it.

The agent also needs to chase a couple of other viewers to call their bluff

I have had some right jokers in the last 9 weeks, so fingers crossed this women comes up with the goods!

Afterwards went to Edinburgh to shop with OH and it was nice to just go out in the week with him:)

Went to the Waverley Hotel for afternoon tea, nice and peaceful, so many High Street places are manic and was half the price of the Balmoral and Caledonian too:)

Got lots of samples of chocolate and food people hand/leave out - it is amazing how much you can get for free when in town.

Saw the French market but it was rather pricey and the food is too near the traffic fumes for me to want to buy.

    Morning all.

Leaving do last night and I have been rather ill this morning. A bad prawn perhaps  It was actually really nice, but very tearful, have been in the job 7 and a half years so a lot of goodbyes. Anyway, having been dreading a sad farewell, I actually enjoyed it despite the tears. I think the gorgeous berry martinis may have helped :D

OS today. Hide under duvet to reduce need for food/heating :D

We went to the Little Chef for breakfast this morning too. Oops. :o:D

    Hope everyone has a great Saturday x x x

Hope you get some sleep soon Gingham

    Happy Birthday Mrs MW

Shez - sorry to say but in my case toothache never goes away on its own.

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them.

Bright and sunny here in Essex though still cold. DS football team got loads of tickets to go and see Charlton Athletic v Wigan today so am going with him. Was meant to be OH but he is here helping builder start putting some kitchen units on the wall. Unfortunately have found that they have sent the wrong handles and some of the cupboards are damaged so dont know how much they will get done after all.

Not really looking forward to the football but hopefully will be better than I think. DD was at a sleepover last night and wont be coming home till later and will probably go back to bed when she gets in as dont think she actually slept last night.

Best be off now and pack my munchie bag for the coach think its about a 1.5 - 2 hour journey.

    Have a great weekend.

    Morning all

Im up early on a Satutday for me! A man who cut all my neighbours hedges and trees last weekend was supposed to be coming to do mine at 8.30 this morning and hes not turned up and his phone is off.

    Grrr

I hate unreliable people if he couldnt come for any reason he could have just phoned.

So going to try and make a start on some homework I have got for my college course Im doing through work. Its boring so I am not feeling very motivated to do it!

I need to sort through my clothes to, i have got so many I dont wear. maybe a trip to the charity shop later on then if I get round to it!

Going to OH's tonight and will be having a lovely lie in tomorrow as I have got up this morning to wait for someone whos not turned up Grrrrr (again)

    Take care all xx

That infuriates me - unless he comes up with a decent excuse, that would be it for me!

I don't get why these jokers do this to people:confused:

  • Good morning all! I finally have my summer clothes from the loft - it's like getting a new wardrobe :T Sat here in 3/4 trousers and a vest top. Going to find my sandals for later.

I too am suffering from a lack of sleep, but sadly have no small people to implicate  :D:p Went to a friend's 40th last night. I drove as I didn't want to drink (due to what I'm doing later today). However, friend had her party in a pub with her DH's band, and 2 other bands, all played at full pelt. Trying to *talk*, combined with the smokiness of the venue, has left me with a slight sore throat. Had a great night, but got to bed around 3:30 then up at 9:30. As a morning person, this has thrown me, somewhat.

Rehearsal for our main concert starts at 1:30, with performance at 7:30. We're singing Beethoven's mass and Faure's Requiem, for those who are interested :j We have an orchestra made largely from school pupils, but they're excellent. We also employ professional soloists.

DD and I have iced 2 cakes that I baked yesterday - one for me to take as my contribution for tea for the orchestra. DD is making Gallette au chou for our tea. Washing's on the line - lovely day out there. DH will be mowing the lawn this afternoon.

Have a smashing saturday, Penny. x

GR ((hugs)) I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep soon
N9eav you are brave!!! 15 x 13 year olds is my idea of hell, I remember what I was like, hope it goes well and Miss N9eav has a nice birthday regardless
Hugs to anyone else who needs one, or just wants one
I am impressed first time I've had chance to read the thread for over a week :)

Right, day of catching up on some housework and playing with boys for me, going to try and get some of the garden tidy up mission done later aswell. DP working extra today so getting him up at 12.30pm so he can got to work for 1.30pm. Taxi been off the road with poorlu gearbox etc so needs to make the time/money up. Pleased as he's getting under my feet :rotfl: bad enough that he only usually works 3 evenings a week never mind when he's not there at all!

Going to bake some muffins later with bananas as there is about 4 which have rippened way too fast. Need to sort through freezer and list it, aware my list is out of date as been just throwing things in without writing it down. Needs emptying as hasn't been defrosted for about 2 months, so going to work on extended meal plan and see if can get it used up.

Hope everyone has a nice Saturday :D
One day I might be more organised...........

It's a gorgeous day here - the windows are open for the first time in what seems like 6 months......Shopping has been done and the rest of the day will be dedicated to lazing about reading before I make our pitta bread, hummus and falafel supper, yum yum.

    Happy Birthday Mrs MW!

havent posted for a long while, but am reading and lurking a fair bit. hope everyone is keeping well

a rare treat today - got the day off work, so am going to take me 'baby' brother (ok, so he's 17 and towers over me :D) to see mr bean at the cinema before getting him in the kitchen to help me cook. i think a roast might be in order  he's not a bad little chef given half the chance (apart from his attempts to warm beans in the microwave...whilst they were still in the tin  ) so it will be a real case of big cook, little cook in the pavlov household today :D

had a good tidy around this morning, am hoping to fit in a flylady/spring clean session some point over the next month, in between writing essays and the like. will no doubt come here for inspiration. will have to get moggins to get one of her threads going, keep us all in shape :D

hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sun. i know i will :j
