    Afternoon everyone,

Gingham, I hope he settles and you manage to get some sleep soon
    Meher, Welcome!
Catowen, Congrats to ds's team! I bet he was so pleased!
    NHSslave, enjoy your breadmaker.
    MrsMW, Happy Birthday! :bdaycake:

It's a beautiful day here today, not a cloud in the sky so the washing machine's been on and doing it's stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to get it all dried outside. I had a lie in this morning but was rudely awakened by Haribo on he phone. She's asked me to see if I can pick up some boots for her so that'll give me an excuse to pop over to the Next sale later.

I've just chosen some paint for the hall so planning to get that started today. Our hall is very long and dark so I've decided on one of these paints that apparently reflect more light. I'm not sure if they work or not but it'll be worth a try. Has anyone tried them? Hopefully we'll make a start on the painting later today.

Ok better get on with it instead of just talking about it.

    Have a lovely Saturday!

    Hello everyone,

Ive never posted on the daily thread before, so I hope no one minds.

Im having a lazy day today, not doing very much except on here looking for ways to save money OS.

Its beautiful here in sunny Scotland. Washing has been hung up outside, and Wm is on again with yet another big load (I never have an empty washing basket).

Mrs Gingham, I completely understand how you feel with the lack of sleep, my youngest is 2 (well nearly), and he still doesnt sleep through the night.
Oh what I would do for a full nights restful sleep.

    Jackie x

    Hiya all

:bdaycake: Happy 21st MrsMW ;) :bdaycake:

((((GR)))) you must be shattered. Virtual energy supplies on their way to you (well, they would be if I had any!)

Moggins! Good for you girl :T I'm so glad to hear you with a well deserved smile on your face. ;)

I've had a busy couple of days and even busier evenings so missed all the errr, "fun and games" shall we say icon9.gif . I've not read all of yesterday's thread yet but will soon get caught up I hope. (((((hugs to all, and I do mean ALL)))). Smoky, Amie, and anyone else who was upset, please stay with us, we all add our own bit of flavour to our daily.

Well I was up early this morning for a breakfast meeting, very nice it was too! The best bit was that a cat who lives close to the cafe makes it his mission in life to personally greet everyone going in and out, Just in case someone happens to have a little nibble of something tasty they couldn't quite manage to eat, judging by the size of said puss, many do just that! :rotfl:

I've had a quick sprint round the flat putting things away then will catch up on the cleaning proper when I'm back from the shops, just waiting for the BM to finish before I go. WM is on (again  ) I need to pop to Wilkos to stock up on loo rolls and stuff, a trolley job. As it's nice I'll probably walk there.

All 5 coot babes are alive and peeping, they had left-over chana dhal this morning and boy did they wolf it down! Bargain Rzl, thanks so much for your thread on that. I love the stuff!

Mum and Dad moved have the coot babes from the "nursery" nest to the newer "school" nest, they are having lessons on how to feed themselves (just keep pecking at stuff, some of it will be edible) and "how to climb over something that is bigger than you" today from the look of it. They are so funny when they try to mountaneer up an Iris stem :rotfl:

A new pair of coots are negotiating rights to use the nursery nest and it looks as if negotiations are going well! (everyone is still alive and the aggression is in "formal dance" rather than "peck to the death" form). So Pink we may have more chicks for your visit, maybe even ducklings and baby moorhens by then too :D Have you booked your tickets yet lass?

Welcome to everyone new to posting on the daily and welcome back to old friends

BM is beeping, Bye for now icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Welcome, Jackie.

He's STILL feeding. I'm contemplating trying a dummy! The brief periods he's not feeding, he's 'Cornershopping' (Brimful of Asha - everybody needs a busom for a pillow!):o :D

So my plans are mostly up the spout. DH is nipping out for milk and garlic and is seeing to the laundry and keeping our toddler occupied, I'm going to TRY to cook some leek and potato soup but I doubt I'll get much more done.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Right been to Tesco and done my shopping. I was quite pleased with how much I spent, hopefully I'll be able to make this month's grocery challenge.

I had planned to do a big spring clean next weekend, as I have 4 days off, but am very tempted to do it now and then I can spend some of next weekend with OH. I want to change around some things in the flat as well e.g. the candles on the windowsill I want to swap for something more summery. I want a plant on my kitchen windowsill too.

I saw an absolutely fabulous crockery set in tesco - multicoloured spots - obviously very cheap. But we already have a full crockery set, so I couldnt justify buying it - would have loved it though.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Shez - Go to the dentist! Trust me it is not worth putting it off ((hugs)) I found out yesterday that I have fractured my back tooth somehow! and I have to wait until Monday for treatment, as I put it off a couple of days before I phoned for an appointment things have got worse and it is now hurting like mad!

Looking on the bright side I am not worried about my weigh in tomorrow night! The pounds are falling off!

OH has gone to watch West Ham play today with ds so I have the place to myself, lovely and peaceful!

OS wise - I have cleaned and sorted kitchen (to take my mind off the pain) and have done a mini stocktake, I seem to have an awful lot of tinned tomatoes and kidney beans. Lots of chilli I think! Off to menu plan.

    Happy Birthday Mrs MW :bdaycake:

    Tulips are still looking good!

    (((Hugs))) to all
