Cringey SMA baby milk ad!
Honestly the bit where they say 'we've really gotten to know mums?! And you're doing great.' Anyone else find this horribly patronising and condescending? Do mums needs SMA or anyone else to tell them they're 'doing great?' ;) Makes me cringe... Oh THANK you SMA for your approval: all the mums feel sooooo much better…

'My Mothercare' vouchers
Has anyone signed up to the 'My Mothercare' club and know what the vouchers are and how long it takes to receive them? My daughter needs a new car seat in the next month or so. I've just signed up and wondered if there might be a voucher that would give me money off the seat. Thanks :)

Birthday Parties for older children soo expensive.
I have spent a fortune I think on Birthday parties this year around £200 per one. Am I stupid or just love my boys? Or is this the average. One was a two hour canal cruise and the other at a Snowdome. How can I do it cheaper or should I just have a good old knees up at the local village Hall for £30 plus food and invite as…

Any Caricature Artists out there??
Hi, My daughter turns 18 at the end of April, and I'd really like a decent Caricature picture done of her, with her dogs and a couple of other things in the picture that mean loads to her. I can supply plenty of pictures of her and the other animals / things for the artist to work from, but I was wondering whether any…

What should we know before we start TTC?
To cut a long story short, 2015 would appear to be the start of the TTC era for me and DH. I'm excited, but terrified by the great unknown which is coming my way. I hope that's normal! I've been covertly gathering pre-conception advice from friends for a while, but I've not dared inform them of our plans this early on, so…

World Book Day Costume Ideas
OMG it's world book day and the kids have to dress up for a prize at school. They don't necessarily have to win it's the costume that is the problem - what to do? My boys have no idea what their favorite book is. I thought it would be easier thinking of a costume we could actually manage and then match it to a good book.…

where to go out?
Where do you go out for the day? We are having trouble finding places to go even with the Tripadvisor phone app. There are Museums, National Trust Properties, Amusement Parks, Theatres and Cinemas, Walks and Days by the beach. Is there anything else, have I missed something? Most of it seems geared up to summer too so we…

Should I give my children money when I sell their things?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... As a parent I often sell on games, electronics and toys that the children have stopped using. In particular, after each Christmas I have a cull to make space for all their new stuff. Should I give them the money that I raise or should I keep it? If you haven’t already, join…

Washing Machine Doesn't Spin Final Spin
I know this is a long shot but I didn't know if anyone had any ideas. If I put a towel in my washing machine, the final spin doesn't spin fast, so I end up with a sopping wet towel. I think it is due to the weight as it doesn't happen with lighter clothes or if I scrunch the towel out and pop it back in. Thanks

Should I refuse to pay service charge and leave cash tips?
I regularly eat at a local restaurant, which always adds a 12.5% service charge to the bill. Service is good so I haven't minded paying it. However, I recently discovered that about 80% of that money doesn't even go to the staff who serve me, the restaurant keeps it. How can I get around this? Should I refuse to pay the…
