Good evening Moms, hope you don't mind me invading but this board seems more like the advice i need than on the Dad's page...
Mrs WBA and I had our first son 3 weeks ago saturday, and all is well apart from him having terrible wind/colic. We have took delivery today of a pack of Dr Brown's bottles, but the instructions are not great for warming the formula up... Do we have to remove the teat and the blue pipe bit when warming the bottle and formula?
any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Hi there. I hope you find them the miracle bottles I did! I always removed the teat and the contraption in the middle because I think the heat makes the milk swell. I know you're not supposed to these days but I made my feeds in advance and microwaved them. Just stirred them to ensure no heats spots and tested temp.
I'm pregnant again and the baby is going straight on the Dr Brown's!I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."

I used these with my daughter but due to the type of milk she was on, had to make it up fresh each time and then cool it down.
I seem to remember being told though that if I was warming any pre-made or expressed milk, to add all the middle bits and teats after warming.
Hope they are the cure for your little one.0
