Domestic battery experiences (on grid)
Hi all, I thought it might be helpful to have a thread where people share there experiences of domestic batteries and inverters, their likes and dislikes, advantages and disadvantages of each system, so we can all learn what system may best suit us individually. It may be a lofty aim. But I figured it was worth a go. So my…

Wind Power vs. Solar
I have a solar PV installation with 16 x 300 W panels. My average generation (taking the average for the full 24 hours of a day) over about two years has been around 430 W per hour. There is obviously no generation when it is dark and not much in the depths of winter, even in daylight. Is this sort of average power beyond…

Online Solar energy monitor?. Geo energynote online service ending 30/6/2021 (geo Solo II PV )
I've been using the solo pv system on my phone and online to monitor my panels, and it helped me compare values from previous years, which helped identify faults when it rained) Their online service is coming to an end, which makes the product useless to me now (loop energy just ended their service as well >.< ) What are…

Wanted: Alternative 2 scourers sponges
What have you used or would recommend to replace these scourer sponges? Anything biodegradable and/or plastic etc that is very long lasting. The photographed sponges just end up thrown away as they don’t last; but they do the cleaning job perfectly. I’ve tried loafer and they are no good as they don’t scrub and can’t reach…

One Reason I Don't Like Nuclear Energy

Microwave-powered home boiler
I haven't heard of these before, sounds interesting. The boiler uses electricity to heat water which can then be pumped through existing radiators and to taps and showers and baths. Using Far Too Much Water
Hi My shower runs off of my condenser boiler. The water comes out really quickly and I have started leaving the plug in the bath to see how much water I was using. I used almost as much as if I was having a bath! I don't think I'm in the shower overly long. I do have a large shower head and the water comes out very fast.…
