Birdfeeders and rats
Has anyone solved the problem of how to keep rats away from the birdfeeders? Obviously they are picking up bits off the floor, but the little devils can shin up the bird feeder pole and perform acrobatics to get to the feeders. At the moment I've stopped feeding the birds, but I do miss their cheerful chirping!:o

Alkanet again
glyphosate got rid of the worst of my alkanet and nothing has reappeared in its place so I’m confident that that area at least I got the roots. New plants to put into place
I have had some plants delivered and after reading the instructions it advises planting out as soon as possible, however, it also says don't plant into waterlogged ground. Obviously the weather forecast is wet for a good few days. I am wondering how best to go forward, i don't have a greenhouse to place them in.
