I really need to get out of this Barclaycard debt
So I've dug myself into credit card debt over the past few years. Long story short, I worked part-time at minimum wage while studying, and used a Barclaycard to cover expenses I couldn't afford. I didn't realise how bad it was until I got a job offer in a different city, but had no savings for the move. My parents lent me…

CPP Card Protection
I was a Card Protection customer for over 30 years and found it such a reassuring service that if my handbag got snatched or I was robbed on holiday that I only had to make one call and all my cards and documents were dealt with. So I was really sad when CPP wrote and said that the product would be coming to a close at the…

Does NatWest frequently offer 'existing customer' balance transfer deals?
I have a NatWest credit card with zero balance on it. Is it worth me keeping it in case they offer me an 'existing customer' balance transfer deal, or should I just close it? What are people's experiences with NatWest cards in this regard?

Why has MBNA suddenly stopped offering me ‘existing customer’ transfer deals?
I’ve had two MBNA cards for several years now and throughout
that time they’ve always had ‘existing customer’ balance transfer and money
transfer offers available – usually something like 4%–5% fee for 12 months.
However, they have suddenly disappeared. Does anyone know what might have
caused that to happen? Is it a wider…

Pending transactions at statement date?
I've ordered a few items from Amazon, but they're not due to be delivered until the 9th of January, which will be well after the next statement date, and the payment is currently showing as pending. If the payment is still pending, when the statement is produced, will this pending transaction appear as part of the account…

Klarna
Hi, I am having problems with Klarna. I had a klarna card which stopped working. I was told I cannot make any purchases because I have another linked account with an outstading invoice with a Debt collection agency. I also had 3 interest free purchases which I cleared 2 off recently. They sent me an email previously with…

NatWest Credit Card Trap
Hi, I recently took out a NatWest Credit card with 23 month 0% interest on transfers and transferred balances to around 45% of the limit. A few months later, they cut my limit by 50% which has directly affected my credit score, claiming a review of my circumstances, which frankly had not materially changed except to…

TSB Credit card - we're closing your account in Feb
Anyone else had a letter saying this, that due to lack of activity, they're closing your account? The weird thing is they had a promotion where you had to use the card X times for a £10 high street voucher. I did this at the end of November. Still awaiting the voucher (I paid off the credit card almost within days) which…

Switching a Barclaycard 0% spend to a BC rewards card
I've had a barclaycard 0% spending for slow stooze for about a year and a half and have just BT the balance away. I'd like to change it to a rewards card to give a foreign spending option, at the moment the app says no. Perhaps this is due to the way I've used it, so I will try using it for a few purchases a month, pay in…

Getting a credit card as a student.
How to get a credit card when the rules seem dumb. I’ve suggested my daughter gets a credit card so she can
build a credit history for when she might want or need to buy a house or get a
loan for a car, it seems a good idea. But she’s a student and all the stuff on the web says you
can’t include your student maintenance…

Barclays to Santander balance transfer - computer says no?
Hi wise people, does anyone know what’s going on with this one? When I try to balance transfer 3k from my new Santander card to Barclaycard on a 0% offer, the payment is taken from my Santander card for 48 hours, never appears on my Barclaycard, then the payment gets reversed back to my Santander card, with the message…

Travel/0% Trade-off
Hi all. I have to pay my holiday fee in Euros. Last year I had a 0% spending card from HSBC. Worked ok, spread the cost, but cost me a fee of 2.99%. I do have a Halifax Clarity, which wouldn’t charge the fee (and maybe better exchange rate?), but wouldn’t allow me to spread the cost. Given that most 0% balance transfer…

Credit Card to use in Florida
Hi All, I'm after a bit of advice on credit cards. As a Family we are soon due to fly to Florida to have our dream Disney holiday we have been slowly paying off for the last 2+ years. Although we have a bit of spending money saved I don't want it to feel like we're scrimping on bits throughout the holiday. What are the…
