Braclays Balance transfer credit card

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get a balance transfer credit card from the same bank that has provided the mortgage. The credit card will be used for some house related purchases. I currently have a bank account with Lloyds and a mortgage with Barclays. Ideally, I would like to get the Barclays card which has the benefit of having 36 months - but just wondering if this is possible?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You do realise that MSE has a dedicated section for Credit Cards and best balance transfer cards and you don't have to bank with any card provider to get a credit card.0

Yes, I checked those, thank you. I am just wondering if taking out from the bank which has my mortgage will be an issue. But I guess based on your response, it wont be.0

I believe the application process (no matter how you do it) will be all automated so some input from their own systems may be possible.
Certainly someone working for Barclays customer service will be able to see both the Barclaycard system as well as that for Barclays bank accounts and mortgages. So if you were going to apply by phone (if such a thing is possible) they might be able to add some insight into your risk level based on how you have handled your mortgage rather than the more generic info from available from your credit history which is what other banks will be using.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. There's no reason why not - their mortgage and credit card offerings are entirely separate products.Any application will be internally scored and assessed in line with their standard criteria, and will be judged on its own merit. But, as far as it goes, having one product will not preclude you from having another, different, product.0

There is no reason why your mortgage provider wouldnt consider you for a credit cardfrybender1991 said:Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get a balance transfer credit card from the same bank that has provided the mortgage.
