Co-op bank phone lines

I have been on hold to the Co-op Bank 0345 600 6000 number now for TWO HOURS and SEVENTEEN MINUTES and counting. It is simply inconceivable that there are enough people waiting who are prepared to wait for more than two hours. I can only assume there are no staff at the other end. This really is a deplorable example of customer non-service. I would urge everyone to avoid having to call the Co-op - there's no one there.....

Their phone message says that they are experiencing technical difficulties so answering times are longer, and to hold if the call is urgent.

If your call isn't urgent then I'd suggest you hang up and try later or tomorrow.

All financial institutions encounter temporary problems at some point.

Could be that it is not their problem & the issue is with their phone line supplier.

Been there done that when a muppet with a digger severed lines to exchange.

If you are happy doing so, they advertise that they have support staff available on Facebook and X.

There's also secure messaging via online (not online chat).
