I have the running system Windows 7 Home Premium and I would like to lock a excel document so it would require a password to open it ... is this possible ? And if so how ? :)

Laptop fan broken.
Hello amazing people, I believe my laptops fan is not working and is causing my Laptop to get very warm at times. Its a Dell Inspiron and out of warranty they said that it would cost £330 to come out and fix it....! That seemed a tad overpriced. Has any one got any suggestions...? Many thanks.
