Can some one tell me what lead i need to watch films from the laptop to the tv please !

If you have a VGA output only:
Then you need a VGA cable:
and +/- a standard RCA audio lead for sound output, depending on what input is required by the television or speaker system you have.0 -
If you have HDMI output:
Then this is a better option (depending on the television), and uses a HDMI cable:

You won't need a separate lead for audio with HDMI.

Yes this is the output i have on laptop its a medion laptop and the tv is a sony plasma bravia which i have had for about 6 mths ! Do i also need the standard rca lead aswell ! If so what one ! Check first if the television came with cables - I know even my cheap LG TV came complete with VGA cables and an audio cable. No HDMI, but I got two from Amazon for a few pounds total.
