I use a Packard Bell PC and have no problems with it. It is a HP brand0

If I remember correctly, Packard Bell is now a sub-brand of Acer. People have contrasting views of both brands, but are not often very enthusiastic...0

I could be wrong but was told by a guy who works at Misco that Packard Bell is now owned by HP ?0
-
I suspect Misco-man is wrong. See The Acer Group's FAQ...0

Defiantly an Acer brand now. Did not have a good reputation before and Acer never had a good one anyway.

In 2008, Packard Bell was acquired by Taiwan-based Acer Inc. and the combined entities now comprise the third-largest PC Company in the world.0 -

Packard Bell necer had any association with Hewlett Packard. They always have been two different companies, albeit with similar names. As John states above, they are now a subsidiary of Acer (as I believe are E-machines). PB and E-machines both had fairly chequered pasts, but as subsidiaries of the world's (or one of the world's - it varies) biggest PC manufacturers, I think they're a reasonable bet now. Mid-market, mid-quality-ish I suppose. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

That Toshiba C660-195 has a VGA webcam ==> 640 x 480 ==> 0.3 megapixels. This is not 'crap', but not very high resolution. You can always buy a better external one for £10-£50!
(Amazing how few people have read that Wikipedia article!)0
