Spare Batteries and memory cards for Panasonic TZ10

I have been given a panasonic Lumix TZ10 for my birthday for a trip to Kenya.
I am anticipating that i will have few opportunities to charge batteries and also may take lots of pictures. The panasonic batteries seem very expensive to buy a spare, as do memory cards. Are there any makes that are cheap but very good quality?
I would just want one spare battery, but will probably take 2 smaller memory cards rather than one big one (just in case of a fault).
Any thoughts would be appreciated

There are non Panasonic batteries for sale, make sure they specify that they'll work in your version of TZ10 as not all batteries work (Panasonic implement a system so it detects genuine batteries and works and won't work on 'many' non genuine batteries)
SD cards - get class 6 or higher if recording video, watch out for the many fake SD cards on Ebay, they look genuine and the sellers don't know they're not but I've known someone buy several authentic looking SD cards that turned out to be faked and have much less storage than advertised BUT when connected to a PC they show the full size you expect (but can't ever work properly)

7dayshop sell compatibles at around £8 shipped. I've never used them for Panasonics, but have for a Canon camera and they were fine compared to the original.0
