Can any digital camera take shots that don't need post shot processing?

A warning ulocking mobiles then updating software
My friend spent £15 unlocking his mobile. Then he downloaded updated software off the handset makers web site. Then found his sim card would not work. Apparently the downloaded software had reset the mobile. So he paid another £15 to unlock and will not be updating software again. Nothing is straight forward?:confused:
