my Uncle needs some ram for his PC (he currently has 256, running XP, his computer looks like its dieing :rotfl: )
but he doesnt want to purchase on the internet, so i was wondering if there are any high street shops other than maplins where he can purchase RAM from.
feel free to put some online shops too though, so when i show him this post he can see the price difference and may change his mind about buying online.
thanks in advance

Not the cheapest but I've never had a failure with Crucial, you can also check that you are getting the correct memory before you buy.
Why not volunteer to buy it for him?

Also you'd ironically probably get better support (customer and technical) with online shops. I'll definitely second Scan, my favourite shop to get PC hardware."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Although many people hate them, PC World sell components including RAM.
Alternatively look for a small local computing shop, though they will likely have to order it, and you will probably pay a little more.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

Gotta vouch for crucial here too...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0
