Hi all, last week I uninstalled IE7 and now I have no volume control on the task bar. I've tried going into control panel/sounds and adding it to task bar but it won't allow me it pops up a message saying I cant do that until I instal some kind of volume software which is nuts because I do have sound I just can't blooming turn it up or down unless I go through the whole long winded process of going into the control panel. before I uninstalled IE7 I had a volume on the task bar, this happened before after a problem with IE and someone on here helped me get it back so hoping someone can help me again. pleeeeease

do you know what your sound card is (either onboard or add on)
if you have the drivers for it - they may include a volume control device.Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -

You should NEVER uninstall internet explorer (Or indeed any of microsofts programs ~ bar DEFENDER) unless you absolutely have to
But if thats the case why not reinstall it?:idea:0 -
