Problem with WMP licence aquisition

Put the SD card into the reader and it is not recognized; the drive in "My Computer" is usually highlighted but nothing is happening, if I connect my camera by USB I can view the pictures on the card, can anybody help, thanks.

Copy local disk C to external HD..
I would just like reassurance that I have done it correctly? I copied disk C to external HD by using a Ghost image.
