SD card not recognized.

Put the SD card into the reader and it is not recognized; the drive in "My Computer" is usually highlighted but nothing is happening, if I connect my camera by USB I can view the pictures on the card, can anybody help, thanks.

Have you formatted the card recently?
It might be that it may not be compatible with your system if you have formatted it on another one.

When I tried the card and it would not work I formatted the card on the camera and took some pictures but nothings happening.

What type of card reader do you have and is it still present in Device Manager?

The card reader is intergrated into the computer tower. D/M says its working OK.

Try leaving the card in the reader and reboot the pc.

When I rebooted the SD drive was highlighted but I could not find the picture folder also when I removed the card the drive is not highlighted when I reinserted it.

Everything is OK now: I ran the error check options and everything is as it should be.

SD card not recognized.
