Final Mortgage Payment Redemption Charge
It should be made clear that these unfair charges only relate to mortgages changed or redeemed prior to Jauary 2007. I redeemed mine in February 2008 and have just phone to asked for a repayment of the Final Payment Fee and I was declined on the grounds that my charge was "fair".

If you are trying to reclaim charges, always take your complaint right to the Ombudsman stage, particularly if you are claiming back under £500 and having difficulty. Why ?
