praise: screwfix
Been using screwfix since about 12 months ago. Must've saved a LOT. Prices are far better than any other DIY shop. Even better than online prices at many retailers. They sell to the trade as well as consumer - they do have a lot of trade customers so it just goes to show how good the prices must be. The best part about…

DPD 'attempted' to deliver. And i can't get in touch with them.
Expected a parcel today. Was very impressed with the email & text for a 1 hour time slot. Not so impressed when i get an email saying they'd attempted delivery. Errr, no you haven't. I've been at home ALL morning since 9:30am (delivery was 1:04pm-2:04pm) & there's been nothing. The email sent from them was 1:15pm. When i…

Bloomin Royal Mail and neighbours.
Lying in my bed, awake since 8:0am, I hear a car engine outside my house. Nothing unusual as it will be my neighbour taking his kids to school at 8:45am then going to his work until 5:00pm. Next I hear something being put through the letter box. Probably he is putting his Christmas card through it. But no! I decide to get…

Owed money from a Ltd company that is still trading?
Good evening everyone, I have a dilemma which I am hoping you can help me with; I am owed a large sum of money from a company called Twisted Lemon Ltd following an event I hosted in September this year. The guy in charge, Mathew Wale, has rather charmingly made off with almost £5000 of my money from the bar takings plus a…

DPD joining the ranks of useless couriers
So I was expecting a parcel from Phones4U...a free cover that was offered with my new phone and a prize from their current giveaway. Had an email to say my prize was on its way and a couple of days later a DPD calling card was left. I went online and entered the details to be met with a message saying that it didn't exist.…

Hermes Delivery - Useless
Absolutely disgusted with this company and searches reveal it's not an isolated complaint. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Christmas present from Debenhams. When it didn't arrive I contacted Debenhams to find out where it was and I was informed it had been delivered and signed for! I asked who the delivery company were…

B&Q useless fools
So for the first time ever I have shopped with B&Q online, I ordered £218 of products which qualified for free delivery and was marked as available for next day delivery. This was the reason I used them rather than another supplier. So order confirmation received and I wait today and nothing has arrived, so I call them…

Radley-excellent customer service.
A big well done to Radley. I was given one of the umbrellas as a gift last year, by a dear friend who has now sadly passed away. The brolly snapped while in New York last month..I emailed Radley and said how disappointed I was ..... they asked if I had the receipt for brolly so they could send replacement. I explained it…

321travel Beware of the last minute hidden fees!!
Just tried booking a holiday through 321travels. Got a quote which was supposedly inclusive of all booking charges / taxes etc. After agreeing the total package price, providing the card details, names, addresses etc I was told that they needed to go through some information which was essential. They start with stuff like…

Ten gold stars to Iceland for amazing service
Long story short: I'm long term housebound disabled, wonderful husband has cancer. Anything needing to be done outside of home is his domain but can only be done when he is on a "good day". Had planned to go to Iceland today to do our Xmas shop, sadly poor love has come down with - not one but TWO new infections which have…

Postage paid returns at the Post Office
I had a surreal experience earlier today in the local post office. I had a parcel to return to Figleaves - it has a postage paid label. Parcel (sturdy little box) was well wrapped and secure with the label attached. Lady behind the counter weighed the parcel and then asked what was inside to which I replied "clothing". She…

Avoid buying direct from Google!
Hi, I bought a phone directly from Google, because it's the cheapest place to buy it. I ordered it in the 6th of Dec, it wasn't dispatched until the 11th. They sent me a tracking number for a parcel they sent on the 9th that made it's way to parcelforce's London depot and didn't move after that. When I call all I get is…

Contacting Companies via Twitter - experiences?
In the last few years I've had some great comments and many issues resolved with companies by using twitter. A few examples include: * A commendation at work for a comment a customer left about me on twitter * A thank you from Scotrail for praising their employee for his service * A monetary gesture of goodwill from…

Samsung 'Repair' Centre
I paid Samsung for a repair to my phone of £130 in June 2013 as my phone had stopped charging. I was told it was 'water damage' so I reluctantly paid for it to be fixed. Fast forward to September. Issue happening again, but on and off. I put it down to a glitch and left it until November were it was taking 14 hours to…

Royal mail
I am seriously sick of the poor service in my area. Three times in the last two month I have had signed for/S Del items which have been returned to sorting office without postman leaving a red card. They were all expected, so I managed to track them online, each time it said there had been attemps to deliver them, when I…
