Hermes Delivery - Useless

Absolutely disgusted with this company and searches reveal it's not an isolated complaint.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Christmas present from Debenhams. When it didn't arrive I contacted Debenhams to find out where it was and I was informed it had been delivered and signed for! I asked who the delivery company were and was told Hermes. Anyway Debenhams sent another one out which was delivered this time being left in our blue bin at the rear of the house.
At weekend I ordered another Christmas present (from John Lewis this time) which actually tracked. I requested it be delivered to my work address where there is a 12 hour permanently manned reception. I saw the item was marked "with courier" at 9-03 and then at 3-30pm marked "re-attempt delivery 19/12/2013". I can categorically state they never attempted to deliver the item as the building is open all day.
Tried to contact Hermes but there are no contact phone numbers and no email address with the options for contacting them being marked "Please contact your retailer".
