Kleenex Velvet Tissues. Absolute rubbish
We have just purchased a quantity of Kleenex Velvet toilet rolls. They are certainly not good value. The rolls have excessive amounts of adhesive on them, so that you have to discard at least the first 4 sheets, and the quality of the paper is awful. Why do these companies think that they can foist this rubbish on the…

Costco - Praise
Yep, 19mth old laptop - hard drive dies of death. Call costco consierge service, picked up the next day, returned a week later with new harddrive, complete rebuild and the old HD for us to try and recover data off. Fantastic service and very friendly, knowledgable agents to go with it.

Healthy Living Direct
Just a warning to anyone considering purchasing goods from this company via catalogue or online. Apart from the terrible customer service, delivery and return issues, ever since I bought a pair of Comfort Shoes for my elderly mother online, I have been bombarded with spam and physical junk mail. I receive a different style…

0207 5176068 - called and silence
I just got a call from 0207 5176068 and when I answered it was just quiet for a while and then hung up. I'm sure it's happened before too.

Roper Rhodes (bathroom fittings)
About 3 years ago I had my bathroom refitted, and as part of this I purchased a number of matching bits. (bog roll holder, soap dish, glass shelf etc). When doing a bit of cleaning last week, I managed to drop the glass bit of the soap dish totally smashing it. I looked in a few shops, both online and high St and no one…

Is this text message a con?
Received a text message today, saying that I should reply with "Confirm" to find out how much I am due after an accident. I've not had an accident, and I assume this is a scam. Is the idea that the reply text message costs me a lot of money due to it being a premium call rate? How do these scumbags get my number?

Fake animated adverts on TV football matches
Anyone watching Italy v England on ITV may have noticed that the broadcaster has added computer generated animated advertising over the real (standard) advert boards at the stadium. You can see the real adverts on some camera angles and replays. As well as this inconsistency, in the first half this was even messing up…

Prestige gifting limited
I spent 31.00 on flowers for my mothers birthday which she never received. They would not refund as they were a fresh product. They attempted to redeliver but must have sent them to the wrong address. I am 31.00 out of pocket and would not reccomend them to anyone.:(

Praise for Fujifilm
Three months ago I bought a refurbished L55 digital camera which came with two rechargeable Li-ion batteries. I noticed yesterday that one of the batteries had 'blown'. Sent them an email yesterday and today received not one but two replacements. Excellent service from Fujifilm especially as the camera was bought as a…

RBS disinterest in service
I've just been down to my local branch of the RBS in Portree to have a copy of 2 documents (passport and driving licence) certified to send away to the Coventry BS. This is to do with a dormant account claim. The bank refused to sign as it's "new policy, we only certify to support RBS matters"!! What a dead loss - why…

Idiotic drivers!
Time for another rant! Just driven back to Vake from Batumi (I'm in my country of origin at the moment) after a lovely three days at the beach; some of the driving is absolutely atrocious! It's lovely to see that every driver in the world cuts you up when they can see that you're in a Tbilisi-registered car (Registration…

Yodel - They don't deliver/collect so what do they do!?
The last month or so has been one of the most stressful of my life and it's all because Yodel is part of it. I ordered a toothbrush from Amazon, they delivered it and supposidly put the item in my bin even though there was nothing in there. Had to get the item re-delivered (Thank you to Amazon for being prompt with this).…

Redstone shares - scam
I have just received a telephone call from A J Nelson Consultants in New York offering me a "very high price" for my shares. When pressed they said somewhere between $7.00 -15.00, a high price indeed as these shares are currently trading at 7.5 pence. I expressed polite interest but declined to give them my credit card…

Thanks PayPal! No, really!
Paypal just flagged payments as suspicious - someone must have changed the payment address on dealextreme's offers site as my payment was going to an unknown/not-DX account even though I clicked all the usual links on DX. Today I could just cancel the payment and re-pay through the right address once DX had sorted their…

Praise for athletes
Well done to all who took part in the Olympics. This is an interesting table. Obviously countries with very large populations do better than those with small ones so it arranges the list by thousands of population per gold medal won. The UK remains in third place but it gives a very different picture of which countries…

Currys/PC World "Cash for Goals" promotion. Is it a scam?
For the Euros, Currys/PCWorld offered to pay £10 for every England goal scored if you bought a TV or laptop over £500. I bought a laptop and registered for the promotion. So that's £50 they owe us all. I received an email from them on August 1st saying: "Thank you for entering Currys and PC World Cash for Goals. Your claim…

Blue Amigo/KGB Deals
I purchased a KGB voucher about 7 weeks ago for a canvas print, and never received it within the promised 21 days. I contacted the merchant numerous times before finally going to KGB. After responding to a few emails, including them telling me that the merchant has "lost" my image, and has already emailed me to discuss the…
