i found that when browsing through /r/unitedkingdom and it kinda upset me cos ive recommended them before they got closed down as the staff were really friendly and lovely.
i even posted links and stuff because i thought they were really good.
i noticed as well that it said they might try and advertise or post links on here so i thought i would post this as i don't agree with what they did. its unfair that people who worked really hard not get paid properly .
really disgusted with it all to be honest

How can you make such a decision without knowing the circumstance surrounding the closure? Not all phoenix companies do so with the sole intent to 'screw over employees' and make a few quid.
In fact, some times companies re-starting is the best thing to do to protect as many people as possible. Of course many will also be burnt, it's all about damage limitation.
The company could still be profitable, but a bad decision or two or perhaps something as basic as a rent review clause a solicitor failed to protect them from hitting them hard leaving them insolvent.
I guess you're also not shopping at La Senza as well whose assets was also sold to another company leaving many people with gift cards loosing out. Amongst several other companies brought back from the brink of collapse through one way or another.0
