I have just received a telephone call from A J Nelson Consultants in New York offering me a "very high price" for my shares.

When pressed they said somewhere between $7.00 -15.00, a high price indeed as these shares are currently trading at 7.5 pence.

I expressed polite interest but declined to give them my credit card details.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

  • Why would they need your credit card details to buy something from you? :D

I had a call from them too. Why would they offer you such a high price? They mentioned something about a non disclosure agreement (probably at my cost) I got them to email it to me but the attachment did not come with the email (I wonder why?) This type of offer sounds too good to be true NUFF SAID

The scam is probably not what you think it is.

They have shares which they know full well are worth 7.5p. They express interest in buying in order to raise market interest and hence the price so that they can sell. They ask for CC details in order that no one actually wants to sell to them.

The same reason a Nigerian offers you 100 trillion dollars.

    Indeed, its advanced fee fraud.

Yes, same woman but now calling herself Deborah Wilson from A.J Associates, and now only offering only £10 max.

She wanted me to sign a non-disclosure form tonight, told her that I would need to put it to my legal adviser. She said it should remain between her and I, I said I was not interested, thanked her nicely, and hung up.
