Worlds Apart - Top Service
Had to mention this. I have a toddler bed made by this company, lost the fittings in a house move. Also have a first ready bed for travel, the mattress had burst after some heavy treatment from my trainee sumo grandson. I rang them and had instant success. The fittings, which would have cost over a tenner to replace at a…

Bird's Eye 'Simply' fish - bit of a warning!
I bought these frozen fillets of fish for the first time recently, cooked them in their bags per the box instructions (in fact 5 minutes longer) and they came out of the oven almost raw and still frozen in the middle. :( That was tea wasted. :( I've just 'phoned the Bird's Eye customer care line and the chap I spoke to was…

Homebase home delivery
I placed an order online for laminate flooring and two curtain poles on the 13th March. I had a delivery date for the poles, but the laminate flooring would be delivered within 10 days. The poles came on the correct date, so I waited for a phone call about the flooring. 12 days later and I'd heard nothing, so I gave them a…

DELL - Debt collection letter 2 years after purchase.
Hi I received a letter from Debt & Revenue Collection Services this morning for a demand notice on behalf of Dell. To my horror I discovered this was my Laptop which was purchased from Dell in February 2008! I called this agency and they informed me that Dell had not put the payments through correctly from over two years…

Halfords POOR Customer Service
 Dear All, I purchased some car windscreen screen wash from Halfords recently. The item was placed in the boot of my car standing up but ended up lying down inside its carrier bag. Despite it being sealed it leaked all over the boot space and ruined the boot floor (Made of hardboard covered in carpet fabric). On…

Rant about Argos
I purchased a Sony Cybershot W350 Digital Camera from Argos. It states on the website 8x Digital Zoom (which is why I purchased this camera over another one). After using the camera, I've realized it does not have digital zoom at all, only 4x optical zoom. Went back to store, explained and they basically said 'on your…

Vent - Freeshare/Freecycle/FreeEgle moderator jobs
Is anyone else a moderator or owner of Freeshare, Freecycle, FreeEgle or any of that sort of group ? Do you get rather peeved off when members (who incidently have been members for at least two years) submit messages wrong and then when you reject the message, they email the correct version to your private inbox so you…

veeach.com
This is more of an enquiry but it could be a warning.... Found a link to this on an ebay 'listing': OK, not allowed to post links yet but it's veeatch dot com Everything about it screams 'con' to me - have a look at the 'reviews', some of their small print about charges (!), and at the supposed business location (from the…

Lloyds Pharmacy Malpractice
I'm still raging about this one, so hopefully posting here will help get it off my chest. A bit about myself - I suffer from sever depression / anxiety and have panic attacks caused by agoraphobia. Last Friday my wife handed in my prescription, which has 3 items of medication, to my local Lloyds pharmacy. Yesterday (the…

Work at home scam
The text below is from the e-mail. It's based on that you bank the $4000 dollar cheque. The bank clears it in 4 days. You send off the $3600 by Western Union. The bank then says that the cheque was a forgery and your down $4000!! The e-mail penetrated 3 spam filters so must be fairly new way of doing it.

Credit Agency confusion - long
Kinda rant/question/vent type post! I have a credit monitoring/alerting service through LLOYDSTSB (IDAWARE) which is a product from Callcredit. Previously I subscribed to CreditExpert (Experian). On accessing my score with IDAWARE I noticed it was much lower than it had been with Credit Expert (758 vs 533) - the…

SAINSBURYS are discriminating against Registered Childminders
Childminders are not being allowed to Register for the Sainsbury's Active Kids Scheme. As a Registered Childminder I offer EXACTLY the same care as a nursery. I am inspected by OFSTED, I offer the same education (EYFS) as a nursery. Every time the person on the phone at Sainsbury's Active Kids gave a reason why they would…
