Then don't put it in the bin. You (or the Crown Prosecution Service or some other government department) will surely need it as evidence.donnajunkie wrote: »well yeah of course it is going to go in the bin. i am just sure there is somewhere were people can report these things. i have just forgotten were it is.

Lottery win?
If so, do as Freddie suggests.0 -
Whats the scam then
it is a company claiming to have allocated us a prize donated to promote local business. we have to phone the number given and quote the code on the leaflet to get the prize. i could easily scan it and show people here but there could easily be someone daft enough to phone the number.
i suppose i can say the name of the company. it is universal consulting ltd.0 -
If you google Universal Consulting you get quite a few hits. Looks like it's some kind of scam judging by what people are saying:

Could be a phoneline scam where the call costs you a few quid and then find your 'gift' has expired as a few people have been told, but definitey dodgy.0 -
if i get an ok from a mod i will post a scan of the back and front of it. there maybe a case of it being in peoples interest to see exactly what it looks like. there is no personal details of myself on it.0 -
Unfortunately scams are ten a penny - everywhere you go you'll find them.
Universal Consulting have acres of bad press around them but are just one of many, many companies on the game.
Rubbish turning up in the post deserves to be returned to rubbish.
But if it worries you then contact your local Trading Standards office which will be run by your local County Council. They won't do much though - I can assure you.....For every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.
No one is listening until you make a mistake.0
