I HATE my job.
I started a new job at a large government institution as a member of admin staff last year. It took four days for me to get a password to access the computer network - I have since noticed that ******* passwords turn up before they even start in the department but I won't talk about the double standard. I have very little…

forgetting a pan on the cooker !!!
Don't you just hate that? I'm allways doing it, I just did it just now, I usually do it with water (as was the case just now). I put a pan on to heat up, and remember later when all the water in the pan has condensed onto the kitchen walls / windows. I've burned rice a few times too. arghhh!

Delivery charge for large electrical items
Need a new washing machine (door fallen off v v old one), so have done the amount of price comparisons and research that is expected of an MSE via the internet. We popped into Powerhouse this evening and admired the desired machines - until we saw that they charge £40 for delivery and practically rip your arm off to take…

Cosmetic Research Online
I joined cosmetic research online about a year ago. You fill in a profile about yourself and you can be picked for selected trials on different cosmetic products. So far I've had 12 invites. Managed to get on 2 trials which were rubbish! They send the e-mails out during the day to invite you to a trial - great if you don't…

Comet - After sales fiasco
I bought a mobile phone for my younger sis last September. Just recently it developed a fault where she couldn't hear callers when making or receiving calls. I took it into Comet where it was bought and they sent it away to be repaired. Five days later it came back and when i got it home the fault hadn't been fixed,…

Tesco's On-Line Electricals
A big thank you to Tesco's on line from me. I ordered a Dyson DC14 following advice on here saying Tesco's were the cheapest (they were - I did a bit of research first). Only I ordered the wrong one :o There are 2 types of DC14 one is an all floor and one is for carpets and I didn't realise even though I knew I wanted an…

Scam??
I'm not sure if this is a scam or not as you don't pay any money up front. I have been recommended a web site called 500 pounds and 500 pence. You get paid to visit web site for a least 60 seconds and then you get paid £5. When your account have £500 you can be paid out through Paypal. This sounds to good to be true, has…

I Hate the term KIDS !!
why do so many people now refer to small children as KIDS it really infuriates me. I have 4 adorable CHILDREN. I hate the phrases like 'KIDS' go free, give the 'KIDS' this or that (on anything from cereal packets to magazines) it is an overused term and it devalues what people think of CHILDREN. I am sure it was…

The RAC - so much for loyalty
          I have been a member of the RAC breakdown service since 1989 and what do I get for my loyalty at renewal date???? £21 additional cost. What a con. When I phoned them up for a brand new quote pretending to be a new customer it came out £21 cheaper and even the…

Ciao Surveys
I joined Ciao surveys in January and, at first, got on pretty well with them - I was able to complete 3 surveys in february, then one in March. But since then, probably the past 15 surveys they've sent me I've been kicked out of half way through, some after about 15 minutes! I am told that they have enough recipients…

Graffitti
I live in a brand new private development which is considered a "good area" and a desirable place to live. However someone has painted the name Jack on the side of someone's garden wall. There isn't a single thing I can do about it so no point in getting cross...but I can't help it...   If I could get my…

B&Q high prices
I stopped shopping at B&Q about a year ago, after they started charging sky-high prices for too many things. Now they are reporting a sales slide, so perhaps many other people feel the same way. Please see: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4582013.stm It seems they're blaming everyone, and every factor, except…
