CCTV car parks, ever felt like provoking?
I keep reading stories about people who visit the same car park twice within, say, 2 hours and receiving threatening letters. Has anyone ever felt like provoking this on purpose in order to create a bit of timewasting for the cash collection companies whom we like so much?

Incorrect info on parking fine.
I got a parking fine tonight when I parked on some waste ground next to the chinese I was popping in to for some grub. Bad luck aside, when I look at the ticket it says it happened at 12.43 which is clearly not true. Is this something I can challenge on? And also it says I got it for parking adjacent to a dropped footway,…

On my local television news, they have reported that Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea WILL be enforcing parking restrictions on 26th December despite it being a holiday. They claim that because it falls on a saturday, the next monday (28th) will be classed as the Boxing day holiday. This may change due to public…

Bit upset about this, so hoping someone will be able to tell me something/anything!! So, every day without fail for the past 2 years I've parked in Wilton Road for 4 hours in…

Parking in a CPZ - appeal?
Hi all Last Wednesday I got a ticket for parking in a CPZ within restricted hours. It's a fair cop in that the signage WAS clear at the entrance to the CPZ, and I simply didn't see it. However, I had parked there while going to a restaurant with a friend who was on crutches. This CPZ was the nearest place I could park to…

CMS Parking penlty charge - Ignore it?
Last night I had a prescription to pick up. The chemist is on a main road with no parking and it was rush hour. I went into the Medical Centre's car park next door, drove into a space, then noticed it said 'Doctors only', so I reversed back and parked in the space opposite. When I got out of the car, I saw it was a staff…

Got a ticket while loading, what are my chances with an appeal?
This is the first time I've received a ticket and would be grateful for any advice. My friends live in a flat above shops on a High Street and I had to deliver several heavy boxes of stuff to them. I parked in a bay right outside their front door which stated '20 mins max Loading Only' and loaded all the boxes into their…

tickets 2 mins into restricted time
Is there any defense I can use if I was ticketed for being in a restricted zone on a yellow line for 2 mins to long. The restriction was from 11am, and I had parked there at 10am and arrived apparently 2 mins too late - I thought I was on time. I was observed from 11:01 to 11:02 (which in itself might only mean 2 seconds…

Paying PPC's
I do not suppose that there is any way of finding out, but I have been wondering what percentage of PPC invoices actually get paid by the uninformed (ie. People who do not visit this forum) I wonder how low the percentage of payers/ mugs would have to be before the PPC's found that it was no longer worth their while to…

Ticket for car parked in CPZ while in by repair shop who pays?
Here is a conundrum for you. My neighbour went to the council dump on a sunday afternoon with a largeish load around one month ago and as he drove over the large ramp at the entrance, his car's exhaust fell off. After a long wait he was recovered by his breakdown service and taken to the nearest local exhaust shop open on…
