Prking ticket in scotland

story goes

was in town with the pickup and trailer after dropping material off at site, had to nip into bank to pay in som money fot the oh. As you can imagine there are not any parking spaces for a pickup ant trailer so thought i would just park it at a depot/drop off place at back of a night club. Lots of space and was only going to be 5 mins :o

Now there were lots of signs to say private car park £70 fine etc

But me in my ignorance thought i would be ok for 5 mins

Obviously not come back out and have a ticket for £70

Ticket is given out by

Euro car parks

Details
parking in a service area

Must be payed by 1/1/10
If payed before 25/12/09 will be £50

says at bottom

if this parking charge is not paid the registered keeper details may be requested from the dvla and your details may be passed to a third party authorised by Euro Car Parks for the collection of unpaid parking charge notice fee
An administrative charge will be made

So am i stuck and have to pay up or is this illegal and should not pay let them chase me or send some kind of letter off?

any help would be great thanks

In a word - Ignore. The civil law is no different in Scotland then it is in England.

A debt collector (unlike a bailiff of Sheriff's officer) is just a normal private citizen, just like you or me. They have no powers to enter your premises, seize goods or blacken your credit record. If they do come to your house you can ask them to leave, if they refuse then call the police.

    They won't.

A pile of threatening letters from a variety of names is about all you can expect.

Being in Scotland makes no difference to this at all, go and check all the other threads on Euro Car Parks. :)
