tickets 2 mins into restricted time

Is there any defense I can use if I was ticketed for being in a restricted zone on a yellow line for 2 mins to long. The restriction was from 11am, and I had parked there at 10am and arrived apparently 2 mins too late - I thought I was on time.

I was observed from 11:01 to 11:02 (which in itself might only mean 2 seconds :) ) and when I arrived the next minute I had been ticketed!

I thought I was on time - an observation 1 minute into the restricted times doesn't allow for normal timing inaccuracies - the wardens machine cannot be guaranteed to be that accurate surely?

  • Post up your PCN with all personal details blanked out. Make sure you post both the front and back of the ticket. Also, if you can get pictures of the place where you parked, and any signage, that might help too.

  • £100 seems very steep for what seems like quite a minor error. Are you able to take pics of the signage and road markings? If you can, post it all up on this website http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php? as well.

Was there a loading restriction too? (Check for paint on the kerb and any signage). A one minute observation period won't have shown whether you were loading at that time or not.
