This probably seems a silly question, but I have never been sure whether to buy bio or non-biological liquid for the washing machine. What do people think? The last one I bought was from a Sainsburys home delivery, before we started going out to do shopping again; their own brand House 247 Bio Laundry Liquid. Our local…

Do I have a drink problem?
Tonight, I've had several drinks. Around 1/3rd of a bottle of 40% whisky. Probably, a bit more, as I finished off the dregs of the previous bottle. I didn't drink anything at all yesterday or the day before. I don't feel drunk, just relaxed. And, I am able to type this accurately. Any thought? In a way, a concern is that I…

O/S Daily Wednesday 16 June 2021
Afternoon to those that have been able to find their way about the shambles of an "improved" website. As you can tell I'm not keen, it seems to be very messy and harder to find what you're looking for. I think this is going to put people off again. Keep safe and well x nmlc x

Why do we buy so much food?
This might sound strange and is not necessarily something that everyone does, but why do we buy so much food? I'm having to empty my kitchen and made a start with the food cupboard. I was shocked by the amount of stuff I have, including staples I never use because I don't cook! So much of it was OOD, not just a bit but…

Weekly Flylady Thread 14th June 2021
What is FLYLADY? Well, it’s
our version of the US flylady idea – but we work on the principle that
housework is not fun, it’s boring, can be time-consuming, is often thankless
but, unfortunately, necessary. It’s here on Old Style to provide the support we
all need and to make the whole task easier and quicker. We also…
