Idea - Old Style Magazine
Hi everyone I'm a long term member of MSE and this is my favourite forum because of all the advice, articles and friendly people here. The other day I was bemoaning the fact that there is no one magazine out there that brings together all the sort of things I like to read and then suddenly realised that it's all scattered…

Please help me make the food in my cupboards last as long as possible.
We've finally been hit with the realisation that we've been consistently spending more than we have each month and it's time to overhaul our finances. One area we've been seriously overspending in has been food. My husband and I both tend to buy our lunches at work. We're often lazy/tired in an evening and can't be…

Malt loaf recipe
Hi, I've recently discovered that I like malt loaf, the soreen type. Though it's not expensive I'm wondering if there's a recipe for it so that I could make it myself? I might make it bigger and freeze it? My DD likes it as well so could give it to her as a snack or in her lunch box. TIA

How much is your allotment?
Hi folks, I'm doing some research into the cost of an allotment plot around the country. If you rent one, I'd love to hear how much you pay and how long the waiting list was to get it. Many thanks for your help, MSE Rebecca

Hard-wearing bed linen
OSers, speak to me of bed linen that will stand up to serious abuse and not turn yellow after a few months. So far all our linens have been coloured (blue, burgundy etc), but after a while they start to discolour, especially the top of the duvet covers and the pillow cases. JLewis or BnM, they all start to look a bit…
