I wanted to buy a small electrical device so went to amazon uk, it was cheaper there than from any other uk site. It comes with a european plug and I know that safe uk plug adaptors can easily be fitted. I just ordered another two from maplins, meets uk legislation and just under £7 each

so I went on amazon germany and ordered exactly the item that I wanted, it was a good 25% cheaper than amazon uk, even when postage was taken into account
I have done this previously when getting a different electrical device for dh. The plug adapter above is very neat and very secure and voltage in germany is same as uk. No contest as far as I am concerned esp as delivery estimate is also very quick

Was the blurb about it in German or English? Its an idea for me in theory - but, in practice, I wouldn't be able to read a German site. I could make pretty educated guesses at Italian ones though - despite never having learnt Italian (maybe summat from those Latin lessons way back at school sank in:rotfl:).0

Google translate is my best friend :rotfl:Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...

Couldn't you just change the plug if they run on the same voltage as UK?0

:)Well done there kittie!
My brother lives in Germany atm, but often orders from Amazon UK as the stuff usually reaches him much faster than if ordered from Amazon.de!
He says most electrical goods are much dearer in the shops there than here too. And when he wanted a hover mower he had to order it from UK as they don't seem to be on sale over there at all!0
