Hi everyone
I'm a long term member of MSE and this is my favourite forum because of all the advice, articles and friendly people here.
The other day I was bemoaning the fact that there is no one magazine out there that brings together all the sort of things I like to read and then suddenly realised that it's all scattered across this forum!
So ... I just want to float an idea with you all. How about a monthly digital Old Style Magazine in a similar format to paid-for ones? Some of the sections could be as follows:
Weekly meal plans on a budget - these could be for families, couples, university students and could sometimes focus on appliances such as slow cookers, pressure cookers or microwaves
An old-style, clean-your-home section including cheaper substitutes (bicarbonate, vinegar etc) instead of proprietary brands.
A Declutter section! Load of ideas for this.
A section for the many sufferers of Chronic Fatigue/ME/Fibromyalgia. Again loads of ideas!
The forum 'challenges' could also have a monthly spot.
A gardening/grow inside section.
There is a huge amount already listed on the site of course - I don't know if these could be regularly incorporated(?) - but a magazine would present all this in an easy to access and read format.
Maybe there could be blagged giveaways as prizes for contributions?
Loads more ideas here but don't want to make this too long - rather just float the idea and see what people think - and of course the viability of such a venture.

That's a great idea. Don't know how easy it would be to do bit I for one would be really interested.
I'm a long time lurker and ashamed to say don't post often. But all the people on here are brilliant and continue to give me tips and ideas.
Here's hoping. Good luck.0 -

Hi again
Thanks to all of you who read my suggestion and particularly the three that responded.
As there were only three, it seems there isn't the appetite for the idea of a magazine - maybe I was being a little too ambitious. :-))
I will continue to read and enjoy this excellent forum - thanks to all of you for making it what it is.
