What to do with bits of pork chop?
The sproglets have decided that they love pork escalopes. On one hand I'm pleased as it's turned 'oh no not pork chop night' into 'woohoo pork escalopes!! you are the best Mummy in the whole world!' Yes they are that overdramatic :o On the other hand once I've cut the eye of meat out of the chop I'm left with some scraggy…

Mothers day meal.
If it were me I'd have a Tbone steak with nice big chunky chips, peppercorn sauce, and roasted challots or asparagus etc etc. But as this is for mthers day I think it needs to be a bit more refined. It's still a steak. Lovely 40 day matured 1.5" rib eye from the local slaughter house. Thats what she chose as it's her…

Does reducing & cooking wine burn off the alcohol?
Does reducing wine burn off the alcohol? Got 1/3 of a bottle of wine left over from last night, I'm on anti Bs that I really can't drink on. I'm making a beef casserole today & I started reducing the wine to add to the slow cooker, then I realised maybe it doesn't burn off ALL the alcohol & I shouldn't use the reduced…
