Best before date is 9 Sept. 2009 and is still unopened and has been in fridge all this time. Is it still OK to eat? Opinions pls.

Help, i have killed my gas steamer, how do i revive it?
I used my gas stove steamer today but forgot to keep an eye on it and the base has a load of burnt on rubbish after i let the water run dry. Rather than get another steamer is there anything i can do to revive the burnt one? I have only had it 5 months but i am always using it. Thank you rigs

Safety question - Do I need to buy a new fridge?

Does anyone know where I can get those old fashioned stripy flannellette sheets from? I have bought flannel ones from various shops but they always seem to go bobbly really quick. My Gran had hers for years and nevver had boobly bits on them.

Stopping avacados going brown (without lemon!)
Title says it all! I want to take avacado sandwiches for lunch at work but I haven't got any lemon juice to stop them browning. Is there any other way I can stop them going a manky colour, really does put me off my lunch when they turn the colour of sludge! :o
