How do I ripen mango's??

I managed to buy 5 mango's today for 50p!
Great bargain but they are as green as anything and very hard.
How do I get them to ripen quickly, or quicker, so we can eat them???

most fruit ripens quicker if you put it in the same fruit bowl as a bunch of bananas. After a quick google though, a few people seem to suggest putting the mango in a paper bag (with or without an apple to help produce more gas) to speed up the ripening process.

It's also best to keep them in a warm environment to encourage ripening.
