We have a cast iron 'range' in our kitchen. It is a listed house we bought last year and as we have been knocking out walls etc (with full council permissions!) there has been no point in cleaning it. We are now ready to freshen the room and the stove is covered in builders muck, stuff from the chimney. Assuming I can get…

skinless sausages
Hi guys. Due to a substitution in my Mr T. delivery which OH didn't notice, I've been left with a pack of 12 skinless sausages, which I'm not especially keen on. I tried making meatballs with 3 of them with limited success, but the rest of the pack is taking up valuable freezer space. Any ideas for tasty things I can do…

Help please any seamstresses out there!
My daughter has bought the school blazer (M&S one) for dgd1 (age11) and I've bought the badge - very good so far! Have discovered that the pocket on the blazer is 'tiny' - to say the least! Checked out the school blazers in Asda and they're exactly the same. The badge is bigger than the blazer pockets  . Has…

Save my spag bol!
Just made a huge batch of spag bol for the freezer, and for no apparent reason I've added Thyme instead of Oregano. It doesn't taste too bad, just a bit odd. Any thoughts on what I can add to make it work? I'm thinking chillies and beans of some sort to get a spicy tomato mince kinda of a thing, but obviously…
