I made a curry pie yesterday (well two, one GF, one regular flour). I used: 5 oz Dove Farm flour (plus 1oz of glutano flour improver to make 6oz) 3 oz half and half butter and marge 3 tbs water pinch salt I followed the instructions on the dove flour pack (scaled down), let it rest plenty etc and it was still really hard…

storage for cleaning products
i've done a search and can't find anything. i was wondering where u all keep your cleaning products. i have a box with a lid on in there but i find i tend to just put stuff on top of the box i could do with something thats easy to grab

Jam Making Problem - Sort of!
I made blackberry and apple jam last night, left it to cool, and then promptly forgot about it. Is there anything I can do to rescue this situation - it has set in my jam pan - reboil? just pot it as normal? - or am I resigned to eating rather a lot of jam over the next week or so? TIA m

...as in oops should have checked that. I have a 1kg packet of Hovis Malted Brown Bread flour the date on it is Dec 2006, but does not indicate if it is a use by or best before. Does anyone remember cremola?
My mum used to cook me Cremola, similar texture to Semolina but a different taste. She made it with milk in a saucepan and then I'd sprinkle some sugar on it and it was yummy, warming and filling in the winter months and cheap!! Is it still available anywhere???

freezing plums
Just wondered if I can freeze plums? I thought of just wiping them over and bagging them, then into the freezer. I will make jam with them later when I have more time (?) Has any one out there tried freezing them ?

Ground Coffee - sealed, but well past the date!

What can I do with...
As we are currently on the way to an IVA, I am trying to eat out of the cupboards for the last 2 weeks of the month. I have some wrinkly and soft plums and blueberries that a month ago I would have thrown away, I was thinking of stewing them to then add to yogurt, but not sure how to do that, any other ideas???????? HELP!
