how to take a stain off a desk

i have just bought a new desk but set a tub of cream on it and it has left a ring like a coffee cup i was wondering if anyone cud give me any tips on how to get this off? its a beech effect desk

Do you mean tub of cream as in moisturiser or cream as in Dairy? If it is wood then I would suggest sanding it down and revarnishing.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
