I would recommend buying the best quality you can afford in the biggest size you can. When we first moved into our flat, we had NO money and so bought the cheapest pot and pan set we could find in Argos. It lasted us a few months, by which time fortunately we could afford to replace them, but for long term use you don't want pans where the non-stick lining starts peeling off into your food!:eek:Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

lol only have one small non stick pan and thats used for my bread sauce and scrambled eggs!0

We have a huge frying pan type thing with a handle either side which is fab (large cooking area) for things like that - we picked it up for £10 in a kitchen shop (slight seconds) in the Cotswolds but you might find one in a hardware type general store.0

Hi Debtmuncher,
I have circulon infinite pans and really love them. They are supposed to be Dishwasher safe, but I have always hand washed them as they are soooo easy to clean. Have used other Hard Anodised ones earlier but have found circulon to be the best. I bought from Amazon
Here is the one that I have

Which? has no problem with these two types:
- Le Creuset Toughened Non-Stick pans
- Tefal Preference cookware

I have a whole set of these pans and stock pots, I have been more than happy with them. They can be used on the hob or in the oven.
They are quite heavy pans but a pleasure to use. Not cheap but I don't think they are too expensive, I have been using mine for about 5 years. They sell them at an outlet village near to me so you can get some offers like 5 for £x.

For a great deal on a Le Creuset Toughened non stick 26cm deep frying pan and lid go the ebay and search for: New Le Creuset Toughened Non Stick Deep Frypan & Lid
It is a great all rounder and a really versatile pan.0
