Organising photos
I could not decide where to put this question and decided on OS as you seem the most organised. I have hundreds and hundreds of photos from over the years that are just in bin bags :o :o:o and I think it is about time I organised them. But where to start? How should I organise them? I did think about just buying some…

Help needed to menu plan
I have just had to reduce my hours at work for health reasons (I have Fibromyalgia), and this is my first month of receiving less money. So, I am determined to meal plan and budget properly - and then stick to it! We are a family of three (with one very fussy 5yr old) and I want to budget £200 for the month's food. This is…

Wassabi. How do you eat yours?
Last time I was at the Chinese Supermarket, I couldn't resist picking up a tube of wassabi. It's been in the cupboard a few weeks now, and I'm worried it'll stay unused, and so am looking for inspiration. I don't plan on making sushi any time soon :rotfl: I thought maybe I could use it in place of mustard on ham butties,…

Take on the Takeaway. Jean-Christophe Novelli. Thai Green Curry & Coconut Rice
I just watched this on TV and it looked easy ... never actually looked into how to cook thai before. So I googled/tracked down the recipe. If you've just watched this and thought it looked brilliant, then here's the link http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/thaistylechickencurr_86976.shtml The two girls he was…

Cleaning the kitchen to cheer myself up - query
;)I know this sounds crazy but I don't believe in making a good day bad, & don't think I'll feel any worse for a bit of cleaning so I'll blitz the kitchen. OS with a hey-nonny-nonny, I'd rather have [STRIKE]a weekend in New york[/STRIKE] some retail therapy, but ....:money: I'm not OS-SAS & I've never got my head around…

...Microwave chips.
This is probably sacrilege here, but anyway... We've been buying Fries to Go for quite along time, so every so often we can have a quick meal without the gas (just chip butties, if it matters). They taste good, not like Micro Chips. The price has gone up and Sainsburys have stopped stocking them; so it's looking pretty…

What to do with linseeds?
I have been given a breastfeeding food hamper, and amongst the yummy goodies I have two packs of linseeds. There are no recipes on the packet and I have no idea what they can be used for other than in bread. Any ideas? Thanks, Vicki x

Boxes are banned
I'm not buying anything for the freezer that comes in a box any more ;) That means no more burgers, frozen battered fish, chicken in breadcrumbs, etc. It's full of chemicals and costs a lot. I now need to learn how to make my own fish fingers, that's what I'll miss the most................

Ah richt weel then... Is feeding a family of 6 on £200 a month realistic?

(really sorry, but it's a common state of affairs) There are: Me, My darling hubby, our eldest daughter who is at uni, but appears if she gets a placement nearby and stays with us from May- September, our eldest son, 16,…

You can "boil" eggs in the steamer!!
Hey everybody! Following a debate with my OH (he didn't think it was possible ) I tried "boiling" an egg in our electric steamer, along with some salad potatoes. I'm delighted to report that it works, and will never again have to have a pan on to boil an egg at the same time as the steamer is cooking veg or…
