How much butter/spread do you use each week?

I have just realised the we are getting through 1kg of lurpak lighter a week:eek:. we are a family of 4. It has not been used for cooking just for packed lunches and toast. I use 6 bread rolls each day for lunches and DH and DS have it on there toast. They must be using loads between them as it is just evapourating at the moment. It used to last for ages. Ds seems to think if the food is in the house he has to eat it whatever. I have told him today that what food we have needs to last to the end of the month not the end of this weekend.

I use it on toast but not in sandwiches. I have seperate for cooking. Don't even use a small carton/block a week.
One day I might be more organised...........

    There's 6 of us, and a 500g tub lasts for 2-3 weeks.

I only use it if I have toast and I only have toast on sundays so basically I dont use a lot at all.
1kg sounds like an awful lot of it to use though!

I use about a 250g pack of butter a week. Thats for me and my 2 kids as my H is a butter phobe! I use it for toast, sandwiches, mashing spuds etc.

Right, I am going to mark the date on this pack fed up shopping, DS 12 thinks money grows on trees!!! He keeps saying he will live here forever as the food is free:mad:. Funny thing is it is costing me money, he managed to eat a whole 750g of frosties in a week!!!! And the crisps keep disappearing, and cans of coke, so much for stocking up for a month at a time if he eats it in a week. We have a varity of cereal, healthy ones, frosties were for the weekends as a treat!!!

I've pretty much stopped buying bread so sometimes struggle to get through a 500g tub before it goes off

I do live on my own though.
