Can I turn a burger into mince?!

I bought some reduced (fresh) beef burgers in Sainsburys last week - I want to make bolognese tonight, and instead of buying mince thought I could maybe chop / mash up the burgers... anyone tried this or have any opinions on whether it might work?!

    why don't you reshape them into meatballs? - we have done that and they are lovely in bolognese sauce.

    Thanks all! And great idea DON79, I'll do just that (and saves me having to make a cheese sauce for the lasagne I was going to make, we'll just have it with spaghetti instead)

    Why not. I do it with sausages :D (Squeeze out the meat and put it in bolognese!)

    It actually might be better tasting than fresh mince.
