BBQ IDEAS - A change from the norm
Hi all Has anyone got some DIFFERENT BBQ ideas - including the salady bits? We have one coming up in June which we want to make sure we do something a bit different,the people have all had us to theirs,but they were all a bit samey in the ideas dept? Any help appreciated.Thks

Grapefruit / Oranges

Big Chicken
I have roasted a big chicken in preperation for a big family dinner tonight which i have had to cancel, what can i do with the chicken. Can i put cooked but cooled chicken portions in the freezer - i dont think i can but just need to check before i start thinking of other ways to use up the chicken. any ideas?

Power cut rations
We had a 5 hour power cut yesterday, so I wasn't about to open the freezer for dinner, not knowing how long it would be before it came back on. Selling free range eggs? How much do you charge?
Just wondered what the going rate is? I have been selling for £1.40 a doz for the past 6 months, but layers pellets have just gone up to £6.95 a bag, so I will have to put eggs up to £1.80. Seems a lot, but cheaper than Tesco.

How long would you keep oyster sauce for?
I've got some oyster sauce in the fridge which has been opened for about - well, I don't actually know. Four months maybe. It says on the label to use within a month. It doesn't have mould on it. Would you use it, or bin it?

soya mince in slowcooker?
I have bought some soya mince (the stuff you rehydrate). I am planning to mix it in with normal mince to make a large bolognaise sauce. My question is this. I usually just bung all the ingredients in the slow cooker and leave it on all day - can I just add the rehydrated soya mince to this at the start? Thanks Susan
