Meal building blocks for the freezer
I don't do much batch cooking for the freezer, but I do have what I call 'building blocks' of meals stashed in there. Tomato sauce - made with tinned toms, onions and as many other veg I can manage to smuggle in. Used for pizza topping, bolognese, lasagne, straight with pasta, over fish fillets, in casseroles. Crumble mix-…

Emulsion paint on carpet
A friend of mine has just text me - obviously very unhappy. she's just spilt a pot of paint on her carpet. Any suggestions on how to get it out? Or is it impossible? It's quite a big room and I know she will not have the money to replace the carpet. She's not insured for accidental damage.

Where to find glass jars?
Hi there! I want to make some chutney but I am struggling to find jars (we don't seem to use many jars at home!) I found Lakeland do a pack of 12, but I really only want 6 or so as I am a novice, and also I am reluctant to pay £3.95 p+p for less than £10 of stuff. Any ideas please?

Home grown riesling grapes, what to do?
In our garden, we have a single vine growing up a kind of pergola, and we got about a bucketful of riesling grapes from it. Not really into wine-making - I don't think it will be worth the effort with this amount - but is there anything else I can do with them? They are just about edible, but not particularly enjoyable,…
