How do you avoid potatoes sticking or disintegrating?
Once you've par-boiled them and are frying them.. I guess they disintegrate if they've been par-boiled too long - is this right? As for the sticking...wometimes they do and sometimes they don't...why?

Christmas cake without eggs - can I make it in advance?
Does anyone know if the eggs in christmas cake have any role to play in preserving it, or is it all down to the alcohol and storage methods? I want to try making one in advance this year (never done that before), but I don't know if that can be done with an egg-less cake.

Lamb for kebabs
I'm on WW. I've started making HM chicken shish kebabs. They are nice. I fancied a change, lamb. In Asda yesterday, cubed lamb, 2 small (tiny) packs on special offer for £7. It was barely enough for 3 of us (3 of us all on WW I mean). I bought chicken breasts as usual, as I felt £7 for such a tiny amount of meat was too…

Roast beef in water
We went to dinner with friends and had very moist roast beef. She said she roasted it in water. I couldn't really ask for details so wondered if anyone can help. Surely if you put it in water it will boil or steam it? This definitely tasted roasted.
