HAV ASK THIS QUESTION IN OTHER THREAD NOT SURE IF RIGHT ONE!! MY SON AT UNI SO HE ASK ME THIS QUESTION WHICH AM NOT SURE WHAT THE ANSWER IS.... HE MADE BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE AND MIXED IT WITH ICE CREAM RIGHT THE QUESTION IS CAN U FREEZE THE ICE CREAM ONCE BEEN MIX WITH THE SAUCE? HOPE SOMEONE GOT ANSWER FOR THIS !!! X

Once ice-cream starts to melt, you shouldn't refreeze it, that's what I've always been told. So by the time you've stirred in the butterscotch sauce, the ice-cream would have probably melted slightly, so I wouldn't risk putting it back in the freezer.
What might be a better idea, is to freeze the butterscotch sauce in small batches, maybe put into ice-cube trays then take out a few cubes and defrost as required, before adding to the ice-cream.0
